Who I speak to
Four audiences, and the depth changes for each one.
With real estate investor groups I work in deal-level numbers. What a study does to the first year of ownership, and when it is not worth doing at all. Brokerages get something their agents can hand a client to show the after-tax picture of a purchase. Business associations hear about the strategies their members are most likely leaving on the table, explained in plain language.
CPA and tax professional organizations get the technical layer. What qualifies, what documentation survives an exam, and where this work fits next to what they already do for clients.
What I speak about
I stay in the lanes where I have depth rather than covering the whole tax code an inch deep.
- Cost segregation and bonus depreciation: how engineering-based studies accelerate deductions, and why the method matters
- Section 179D after the sunset: who can still claim, designer allocations, and prior-year lookbacks
- The R&D tax credit for ordinary businesses: the four-part test, documentation, and the return of immediate expensing
- Practical tax strategy for real estate investors and business owners: the playbook, not the theory
Formats
Keynotes, breakout sessions, lunch-and-learns, half-day trainings, and webinars. Sessions run from thirty minutes to half a day and every one is built for the specific room. Tell me who is in the audience and what they own or do, and the talk gets shaped around that. Q&A is always included; the questions are usually where the money is.
What your audience leaves with
Concrete next steps, not inspiration. Attendees leave knowing which of these incentives might apply to them, what a study involves, what paperwork matters, and the exact questions to bring to their own tax professional. I teach from real numbers. I am also direct about when a strategy is wrong for someone, which is not what most rooms expect from a speaker who does this work for a living. Education is the product. Nobody in your audience sits through a disguised sales pitch.
Podcast guest appearances
I host The Tax Strategy Playbook, and I guest on other shows in real estate, business, and tax. If your audience overlaps with any of those, I bring plain-language explanations of strategies most listeners have never had explained properly, with numbers they can follow by ear. I am comfortable going deep for technical audiences or keeping it accessible for general ones, and I show up prepared, on time, and easy to edit.
Booking
Send the details through the contact form, call 770-224-8504, option two, or grab a time on Calendly and mention the event or show. Tell me the date, the audience, and the format, and you will get a clear yes or no quickly.
Put this on your stage or your show
One conversation to scope the audience, the format, and the date. If I am not the right fit for your room, I will say so and, where I can, point you to someone who is.
